Chemical engineers contribute to a remarkably wide array of industries, technologies, and other human enterprises. Our familiarity with processes on both molecular and macroscopic scales allows us to work among the most exciting technology areas of our time. The challenge to academics is to convey this excitement to students, to equip them to become versatile problem-solvers, to offer them a solid grounding in fundamentals and an integrated set of tools for engineering analysis and synthesis, illustrated by examples drawn from the breadth of industry and practice. The Department offers a B.E. Degree Course in Chemical Engineering.
