Every Scholar and Hostlers has a pretty busy schedule everyday in Academic, Laboratories and thereafter doing research in Library or over Internet. To resolve to be Complete man there are many other things which the College offers for students.

Students enjoy the Scenic romance of Hillocks around after having a rather busy schedule at the Academic Campus involving Engineering Drawing lessons, Classes, Tutorials, Labs and workshops.

Community Volunteering

IITT has numerous and diverse programs. You'll easily find one that fits your interests and schedule. During the 2008-09, from the college, 87 students gave 336 hours of community service, which included Adopting a Village, Rural sanitation, Kar sewa at Gurudwara, Safety for women Campaign, Coaching for Entrance examinations and other NSS and NCC programmes.

Performing arts and Publications

A 400-seat open air theater is host to visiting artists. Student theater and musical performances are presented in the open air theater through the College Theater Program. Auditions are open to all students and other members of the community. Student ensembles perform throughout the year both in concert and at College functions. Poetry flourishes at IITT. Readings are held often and two poetry competitions occur each year. In addition, various student groups sponsor bus trips to nearby hills and trekking. You have many opportunities to perform, to write for publications, and to participate in dramatic productions.

Entertainment and Activity programmes

The student-run IITT Activities Forum brings artists & movies to campus & sponsors other social activities. The academic departments & many of the student clubs sponsor field trips & bring guest speakers to campus.

Culture: plans events that reflect the arts & customs of the diverse cultures that comprise the IITT community including Annual Fests, Festivals etc.

Film: oversees a comprehensive film schedule of current or classic films .

Music: plans events that represent diverse musical styles such as Light Indian, Classical, vocal, rock and devotional.

Recreation: plans events that occur off-campus such as biking, hiking, trekking etc. & on-campus events such as basketball tournaments, & late-night dances.

Club sports: IITT offers 20 club sports ranging from Badminton, Cricket, Hockey, Horse Riding, Roller Skating, Squash, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Chess, Marathon, Tug-of-War, Foot ball, Lawn Tennis, Carrom Board, Athletics, Rope Climbing and Body Building.
