IITT offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the campus. IITT knows that most of the students are moving away from home for the first time, so IITT strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus. IITT offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. Each hostel is self contained with amenities such as reading room, indoor games room, lounge and dining hall. Each hostel operates its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious three meals a day, with a varied menu.

The Warden of hostels is the incharge of the hostels . He/She is assisted by Students, Team of hostel reps and mess presidents. The discipline in the hostel is looked by the proctor of the college. Hostel accommodation will be provided for all students.

The students who opt to stay with their parents/guardians in the city, may be allowed to do so with the permission of the principal on the basis of a written undertaking form the parents/guardians to the fact that they will take part in all the extra-curricular activities of the college. The students are required to conform to all hostel/mess rules, which may be enforced by warden from time to time as approved by the principal. The allotted hostel accommodation may be cancelled during the vacations as and when decided by Principal.

IITT also has a beautiful city hostel in Chandigarh and provides the daily transport facility for KalaAmb Campus from Chandigarh.

The Girls Hostels enjoy a special privelege of having a three tier security levels and a seperate campus which is well equipped to the satisfaction of boarders and it gives a special incentive to them to look ahead with this unique proposition being offered by IITT Campus.

Hostel Facilities & Charges

Below are the Hostel Facilities normally available, subject to variations with respect to the hostel and /or room pattern allotted:

  • Separate hostel facility for boys and girls within the campus

  • Semi furnished rooms with Common /Attached washrooms / Without attached washrooms

  • Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system

  • Hot water in winter (scheduled timings)

  • Facilities for indoor and outdoor games like Table tennis, Badminton, Football, Basket Ball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis Cricket etc.

  • Campus clinic to provide medical assistance to students

  • Power backup for light load

  • Hygienic mess facility with vegetarian meals only

  • Two Wheelers may be allowed for hostel residents after approval from authorities (Four wheelers are strictly prohibited)

  • 24 hours security

  • Gymnasium, Horse Riding, Rifle Shooting & Swimming at Pojewal only (optional on payment basis)

  • Laundry facility (optional on payment basis)
