Information Technology ….. walk ahead in the steps of IT

The Department is headed by Professor & HOD supported by 2 Asst. Professors & numerous lecturers. The department offers a B.E. Degree course in Information Technology and Engineering.

Topics addressed are relevant to planning, operations and control of information technology in a manufacturing organization, including converging network deployments, wireless applications, data modeling, production modeling, security and the impact of e-commerce. This course will give the student a brief, but intense, look at how information systems are developed and deployed, from the perspective of the hardware, support software, and connectivity. The areas covered are development of computer networks, internet-the global network for information sharing, development of networks for digital information resource sharing, architectural design of a digital library, dissemination of information in a network environment, web of science, building digital vaults of knowledge, etc.
