IITT College of Engineering , the first Engineering College of the State, estd. 1997 is located in the serene sylvan surroundings of Shivalik foothills called Kala Amb, Dist Sirmour.

IITT College of Engineering is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and is approved by AICTE since 1997. ITT has four disciplines currently viz Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

IITT is spread in 19 Acres of Campus with Separate Administrative block, IT – Einstein block, Library, Applied Science Block , Mechanical Block and Hi tech Lab Block. It has Dispensary and Multi use Cafeteria cum Student Activities center apart from Girls Hostel, Faculty and Staff residences, play grounds, courts and orchards apart from a temple in the premises.

IITT College of Engineering under the aegis of IITT Society has emerged the pioneer in setting up the best Engineering institute in the state by having advantage of location. Kala Amb today is a thriving industrial hub with blue chip companies operating from here like Samsung, LG , Ajanta quartz etc.
